Dear 2nd Grade Students and Families,
Here are your assignments for today. Click on the underlined links to open each assignment. If you do not have a printer, you can read the information on the screen and write down your answers on a sheet of paper.
Reading:
- Use the informational text that you read yesterday to answer some questions. You may share your ideas with an adult, or you may write your ideas down on a piece of paper. - Read a good fit book -OR- go on Lexia for 20 minutes.
Writing:
- Use yesterday’s planning sheet (Insect Life Cycle Paragraph–Planning Sheet) to help you write a paragraph about insects that have a 4-stage life cycle. Be sure to indent your paragraph, to capitalize the beginning of each sentence, and to put a period at the end of each sentence. Math:
- Complete the Math Challenge Worksheet–April 7.
- Play Salute using a regular deck of cards with the 2-10 cards and aces as ones (Salute! Rules) -OR- go on Symphony Math for 20 minutes.
Social Studies and Science:
- From the LES homepage, go to PebbleGo. Click on SOCIAL STUDIES. Then click on CONTINENTS. Choose a continent to read about. You will take some notes about this continent tomorrow.
- If you didn’t work on it yesterday, continue working on the My Observation Notebook assignment to track the changes in a plant you’ve found near your house.
