Dear 2nd Grade Students and Families,

Here are your assignments for today.  Click on the underlined links to open each assignment.  If you do not have a printer, you can read the information on the screen and write down your answers on a sheet of paper.

Reading:

1. Read a good fit books for 20 minutes.  It can be a book you have at your house or a book you read online using a site like Epic.  Our Epic class code is: ika7876.
2. Go on Lexia for 20 minutes.

Writing:

1. Revise and edit the paragraph you wrote yesterday about the 4-stage life cycle of an insect.  Use this checklist to help you revise and edit: Revision_Editing Checklists–Insect Life Cycle Paragraph.  Have an adult help you by reading over your paragraph and giving you suggestions about things you might revise or edit.
2. Rewrite your paragraph using your neatest handwriting.  Here is paper you can use: Fundations Writing Paper.  Ask an adult to take a picture of your paragraph to share with Ms. Gray.  This is an assignment for today and tomorrow.

Math:

1. Complete the Math Challenge Worksheet–April 8.
2. Play Addition Top-It (Addition Top-It Rules) -OR- go on Symphony Math for 20 minutes.

Social Studies and Science:

1. From the LES homepage, go to PebbleGo.  Click on SOCIAL STUDIES.  Then click on CONTINENTS.  Find the continent you read about yesterday.  Complete the PebbleGo Continent Questions Worksheet to show what you learned.
2. If you didn’t work on it yesterday, continue working on the My Observation Notebook assignment to track the changes in a plant you’ve found near your house.
